Marine Biochemicals meets Norwegian Prime Minister

On September 29th a delegation of Norwegian ministers are visiting Tromsø to learn about the Bioprospecting activities in the area, in alignment with the governments announced plans to strengthen the activities as an investment into the future of the North.

The delegation is led by the Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, but also the Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Liv-Signe Navarsete, the Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs, Lisbeth Berg-Hansen and the Minister of Education, Kristin Halvorsen will be present.

Next to Marbank represented by Manager Kjersti Lie Gabrielsen and MabCent and other bioprospecting activities represented by Prof. Trond Jørgensen, Jan Buch Andersen will represent Marine Biochemicals.

During a short boat trip on the M/S Polargirl each party will present their work and perspectives for development to give the ministers further insights into the regional perspectives of the Bioprospecting activities.
